Position: Rental Tech
Job Description: Rental techs assist guests with rental equipment, sizing boots, skis, and poles. May aslo work as lift operators outside at the ski lifts, assisting the skiers getting on and off the lifts and overseeing the safety of guests. Participants must be willing to work in any area where they are needed. Various other job duties as assigned.

Additional info: Employees receive free skiing, free rental equipment, and free tubing at the ski resort. Housing has NOT been confirmed yet. This is all tentative information and an update will be sent out as soon as housing is confirmed by employer. Employer is located 4 miles from Wisconsin Dells and there isn't public transportation. Housing will probably be on site. You will not be able to get paid until you have your social security number, so be sure to have enough money with you.
Compensation
Pay Rate: $8 per hour

Expected Minimum Hours: 30-35 hours per week is the average minimum over the course of the season.
Estimated overtime: No.
Expected schedule: Ski hill is open 12pm-9pm Monday-Friday and 10am-9pm on Saturday/Sunday. Employees usually work 4-5 of those shifts within those listed hours.

Second Job Notes: Employees may get a second job as long as its hours don't interfere with employee's hours or performance for their primary employer. Employer is located 4 miles from town though, so it may be difficult to get 2nd job in town. There may be second jobs available as a rental tech at the ski resort.
Meal Discounts: 10% off meals while working and 25% off merchandise in the ski shop.
Housing
Housing Information: Housing has NOT been confirmed yet and an update will be sent out as soon as housing is confirmed by employer: Housing will be in shared apartment style accommodations. Each tenant will share a room with other students. Rooms are 2-4 person based. Single rooms are not available and requests for roommates are taken as requests and cannot always be guaranteed based upon space availability at the time of arrival. Transportation will cost $20 per week per student.
Housing costs: $60-$75 per week
Additional costs: $200 deposit
Housing features: Housing is dormitory style. There are no personal calls allowed while working. Personal toiletries - soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. are not provided. Students must care for their own room as if it were a shared apartment unit. The housing deposit is refundable if the student has a properly cleaned room upon checkout with no damage or fee assessments and the student has completed their entire job agreement. Employer will help to arrange transportation to and from work. Student will probably live about 4 miles from employer and will need to pay $20 for shuttle.

| What to Wear: |
We will encourage the participant to plan to bring the following types of clothing that may be needed in addition to the uniforms we provide: 2 pairs of khaki (lightbrown) trousers, 1 pair of black trousers. 1 to 2 pairs of blue denim jeans. 1 swimsuit. 2 long-sleeved shirts. 1 dress shirt (possibly white), 1 to 2 pair of athletic sport (tennis) shoes - 1 pair preferable all white in color, 1 pair of sandals, 1 waterproof wristwatch, and 1 pair of sunglasses. For the cold Wisconsin weather (November - April) we recommend: 1 pair of hiking boots or winter boots, 1 warm winter coat, 2 to 4 sweaters, 1 pair of gloves, 1 winter hat For the HOT Wisconsin weather (May-October) we recommend: 2-3 pairs of shorts, short-sleeved t-shirts, light skirts and sundresses for women, 1 pair of open toed shoes or sandals. |
