Job Description: Assisting in the cleaning of guest rooms; clean halls/hallways, lobby, elevators and elevator landings, conference facilities and public area spaces; deep clean bathrooms including cleaning toilets, sinks, mopping floors; remove, sort, carry, deliver and stock linens; load/unload washers and dryers; move housekeeping carts, replenish shelving supplies; set up guest room furniture, pictures, and amenities; mop, polish and vacuum, extract and shampoo carpets; and polish mirrors and windows; sweep parking areas, deliver special guest requests to resort guest rooms/resort facilities, clear debris from walks and driveways, remove/compact trash, refuse, and other litter, correctly handle lost and found.

Start Date: December 1, 2009. You will not be allowed to arrive at the employer any earlier than December 1st. You must inform the hotel of your arrival at least 72 hours in advance.

Wages: $10,00 per hour. You will be required to pay Federal, State and Local taxes.
Hours Expected to Work: You will average between 32-40 hours per week. Shifts will vary based on business demands. It is strongly advised for budgeting purposes that you allow yourself 30-32 hours per week as an average amount of hours worked.English Language Requirements: All applicants must be functionally literate and must complete an employment application during your orientation program. You must be able to communicate at an English level of excellent. You will be required to display the ability to understand instructions, give directions and communicate effectively with co-workers and guests.
Dress Code / Appearance Policy: The employer has a strict policy in regard to appearance and hygiene. This includes proper work shoes, no tee-shirts, no visible body piercings, tattoos, extreme hair colors or facial hair.
Uniforms will be provided upon arrival. Uniforms are provided free of charge, however students employed in Food & Beverage positions will be required to provide black, skid resistant shoes, black socks and a black belt. Housekeepers will need white, non-skid shoes. Host Persons will need black dress shoes (stylish but comfortable). Students employed in Spa positions will also be required to provide black, skid resistant shoes.

HOUSING

Housing: Apartment style housing is provided at a cost of $97.00 per week, including transportation. A $70.00 deposit is required upon arrival. A portion of this may be refundable if the apartment is left in good condition. There will be 4 students per apartment. Students are required to stay in housing provided by the resort – this is not negotiable.
