Detailed Description |
- Office Clerk will sell lift tickets, help in rental shop, clean office area. This is an indoor position.
- Snack Bar Clerk will cook and serve food. This is an indoor position.
- Lift Operator will help customers on and off the ski lift machines. This is an outdoor position.
- Tubing Park Operator will help customers with safety and tubes and help keep lines moving. This is an outdoor position.
All Jobs require excellent customer service skills!

You will receive training from your employer upon arrival to Woodbury Ski Area. |

Overtime |
You may have the possibility to work overtime at the rate of $8.00 per hour. Overtime is determined by the need of the employer and the work performance of the employee. |
Expected Schedule |
All employees will be given a schedule upon arrival to the employer. |
Dress Code |
A uniform is not needed for this position. You will need a warm winter coat, gloves, hats, snow boots, and snow pants. If you do not have these items you will be able to rent them from your employer. |
Housing |
Housing is available on site in dormitory style apartments at the cost of $100.00 per week which is paid through payroll deduction. A security deposit of $250.00 is due upon arrival to program and will be returned to you at the end of your program if there is no damage to the facilities and you have completed the program in full. All rooms are equipped with telephones and internet connections. Please bring your own laptops. Linens are provided for you. Three students will be placed in each apartment. |

You will find it easiest to fly into John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York City. Once you arrive to New York you will need to take the Peter Pan bus from Port Authority Bus Station in New York City to the Southbury, Connecticut station. The bus ticket will cost about $26.00 one way. Upon arrival to Southbury, Connecticut call the Woodbury office at 1-203-263-2203 to arrange pick up. If you arrive overnight you will be responsible for paying for a hotel, motel, or youth hostel. It is very important that you send your travel information via email to your employer at least one (1) week prior to your travels and you should arrive between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday. |

Employees will be receive half price food in the snack bar, free use of ski or snowboard equipment, and free lift tickets. Discounted lift tickets to other ski areas are also available. Woodbury Ski Area is a unique year-round ski area offering skiing, snow tubing, snow boarding, cross country skiing and skateboarding. We are Located in the town of Woodbury, CT which is in the Southern Litchfield Hills of Connecticut- Closest Connecticut Ski area to New York City and largest snow tubing park close to Manhattan. First Ski Area open in the East for 06-07; we are proud of our snowmaking efforts. Woodbury makes snow at every opportunity. Woodbury offers convenience, affordability, choice and value. Wi-Fi access is free as long as you have your own laptop computer. Woodbury has dedicated tubing trails, and the largest tubing trail count anywhere. We are close by- only 90 minutes from New York City, 45 minutes from New Haven or Hartford and 25 minutes from Danbury. We are here to help our employees! |
